Worried that it will get away, people have been putting padlocks on the Brooklyn Bridge. Okay, actually, a trend of late is apparently for tourists (and lovers?) to attach locks onto various parts of the Brooklyn Bridge, along with the date of their visit. This picture shows a cluster of the locks (nearly a dozen) attached to a single ring protruding from the brick of the Brooklyn Bridge. One lock reads "Bonnie & Jack 2012".
